According to the Nikkei report, for example, DMG Mori is developing one of the emerging market strategies far away from Japan, that is, it uses the Internet of things technology to predict the time of equipment failure before on-site maintenance, and uses automatic logistics technology to deliver parts within 24 hours. Finally, it controls the equipment with 5g wireless communication technology, so that the software can be upgraded automatically in the cloud.
DMG Mori also further cooperated with the telecom provider KDDI to connect about 150 machine tools in the plant with 5g through the construction of 5g base station to try applications such as remote operation, machine tool maintenance and management.
